The Chautauqua Schools of Fine and Performing Arts (art, dance, musicand theater) offer a learning opportunity for students that is singular to Chautauqua. A summer of intensive study is offered to students on the verge of professional careers who audition for admittance into the schools. Students are provided opportunities for personal growth and exciting performances and exhibitions throughout the season.

Beyond the opportunity to study under extraordinary teachers, financial assistance is the crucial element in attracting the best students in art, dance, music and theater. Over three-quarters of the students attending each summer receive financial aid, yet the funds provided are insufficient to meet the needs of our students. We aim to meet the demonstrated need of any student qualified to attend.

It is rare that in the course of our everyday actions we have the unique opportunity to so directly shape the life of a young person and to help propel his artistic future. And yet - that is precisely what your scholarship gift does.

The students who are enrolled in our nationally recognized Schools of Fine and Performing Arts provide the energy and vibrancy Chautauqua welcomes and celebrates each summer. Your dedication and support makes possible the continued flow of fresh talent and creative vigor that is at the heart of the Chautauqua experience.
