Endowment for Chautauqua’s buildings and grounds are increasingly important as we seek to ensure that all who walk these grounds and partake of programs within our facilities feel that they are of the highest standards and promote programmatic quality.

Given the extent of Chautauqua’s 300+ acre physical plant and landscape, and the fact that it is growing through the addition of new gardens and buildings, the challenges of reinvesting adequate resources to maintain the buildings and grounds to the standards we desire are very real. Increased endowment support is necessary if we are to meet these challenges that are inherent in growth and in maintaining a competitive environment such that we continue to attract the best students, the best instructors and all of the audiences that experience Chautauqua each year.
